Our founders ran sustainability programs at large manufacturers and utilities before starting NetZero Trail. They know what it takes to get a Scope 3 inventory signed off by an external auditor.
Hannah Caldwell spent six years managing ESG reporting for a multi-site industrial company before she quit to fix the problem. The tools available were either too generic to handle real emissions complexity or so expensive that only Fortune 50 companies could afford them.
NetZero Trail launched in 2022 with a single focus: make defensible GHG accounting accessible to companies outside the top tier. We are not trying to be everything for everyone. We are very good at carbon emissions tracking and we keep getting better at it.
We are headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. Our team of 38 includes former sustainability managers, climate scientists, and engineers who have all worked inside the problem before working on it.
Every number in our platform traces back to a specific emission factor version and a specific methodology choice. We publish our methodology documentation openly because companies relying on us for external disclosure need to understand how we calculate.
We help clients meet their reporting obligations. But we also think the companies that use data to actually reduce emissions, not just report them, are the ones worth backing. Our reduction planning tools exist for that reason.
Our support team has worked in sustainability roles. When you hit a Scope 3 boundary question that has no clean answer, you are talking to someone who has sat in that exact meeting before.
We do not aggregate or sell client data. Emissions figures are commercially sensitive in ways that are hard to overstate. We treat them accordingly.
We are hiring engineers, sustainability scientists, and customer success specialists. Or if you want to see the platform, request a demo.
